On Friday, May 15, we released out salmon into the Augusta Creek at Kellogg Forest. Of the more than 200 eggs we received in the fall, we had 160 survive to fingerling size that we released. The salmon will swim downstream to Kalamazoo River and then to Lake Michigan. Hopefully, in a few years some will return to Kellogg Forest to lay their eggs. After releasing our salmon we enjoyed a picnic lunch and took a hike through the woods.
