FRiday Reports
What a busy week!
Assorted students volunteered at the SPCA and the RACC. Most students have their required 20 hours of community service and yet they keep volunteering. Wednesday, Megan Pauken from KVCC came and talked to the students about the programs they offer. Her visit was to prepare us for when we go on a tour February 29th. Remember, parents are welcome to attend. On February 24, students will have the opportunity to visit Michigan Career and Technical Institute (MCTI) in Plainwell. MCTI offers vocational and technical training programs and provides services to prepare Michigan residents with disabilities (students who attend alternative high schools meet their definition of disabled) for gainful and competitive employment. Parents are encouraged to attend. We are leaving at 9:15. Snow court is next Saturday. Ticket go on sale Monday and are $10 each. Students must have permission from me before they are able to attend. Don't forget that I will be at Celebration Cinema at Crossroads Mall tomorrow at 11:00. I'd love to have some company as I watch the movie "Race". Progress reports will be sent home today. Over the weekend, the district will be upgrading the phone system and everyone will have new numbers which will go directly to the recipient. No more transfers or waiting! As far as I know, the old number (488-5000) will continue to work until the end of the school year but instead of dialing an extension, you will have to speak the name of who you are trying to reach. Lynnette Walker: 548-3425 Gretchen Wilga: 548-3426 Mary Stage: 548-3427 Beth Palmatier: 548-3410 If you have left a message for one of us and do not hear back within 24 hours, please try again. Hopefully everything will run smoothly, but you never know! Have a good weekend~
